Reverse Plexiglass
An early inspiration for these paintings came from using a broken cassette tape case as a palette, I liked the glossy effect when viewed via the plastic side, and later made these paintings, as well as noticing the parallels with animation cels being painted on the reverse sideÂ
While the majority of these are painted on flat acrylic sheets, some are painted on acrylic or polycarbonate domes
